iPod Poll

Tell us which iPod you’d buy.

On Wednesday, Steve Jobs announced four new iPod models, available in plenty of time for the holidays. They range from a restyling of the very basic iPod Shuffle to an improved iPod Nano to a renamed, increased capacity iPod Classic to a wifi-enabled, browser equipped iPod Touch.

Not to miss out on an opportunity to gather opinions, I’ve set up the following poll:

Which new iPod would you buy?

Keep in mind that this poll does not ask which iPod you will buy. It asks which one you would buy.

And I hope you’ll take the time to use the Comments link or form below to let us know why you’ve made your choice.

I’d buy the 16GB iPod that also has the installed phone application.

I ordered the Touch straight after the announcement. I have an 80Gb iPod - now a year or two old that I may keep.

I love the shiny things and we can’t get the iPhone here in New Zealand, so the Touch is the next best thing.

It has taken me 9 months of trial and error to master the 30 gig iPod Classic and now I like it. The increased capacity is a bonus. There are so many more assessories for the Classic (I think) and I am trying several. For a newbie the Touch might be better.

I am a new Grandma and I was looking for something to put my photos on to share with friends and have great quality of pictures.

I had never thought of an IPod until I saw an IPod that had pictures showing on one.

I love gadgets and I had to have the IPod Touch, it was the perfect size for the photos of my new grandchild. I bought the 8GB. I love how thin the IPod is, it is lightweight and the perfect size. I left the clear cling plastic over the face of the IPod for a little protection.

I am still waiting to see a nice looking case that I can buy to protect my IPod.

Had a little trouble with trying to get to the music and having the photos show up, but the 1 -800 number was great! I called twice, once for the music and once for the photos. Everything works great now. This is my first IPod!

love my IPod Touch, an early Christmas gift for myself.

I think an iPod is a GREAT way to show off photos. I keep a handful on mine, too. (But I also have a Treo smartphone and I’m more likely to have that on me that my iPod, so the photos usually get shown from that.)

Best of luck with your new iPod!

I haven’t got around to writing a review of it yet, but after much searching I ordered a Nutshell for my iPod touch:

    Fabulous!

I thought that might be you!

I checked out those Nutshell cases. They make one that’ll fit my Treo. But after I had it all configured for my preferences, the add-ons brought the price up to $75US. Eek! Too rich for my blood.
