You have to remember that, in the minds of bible-belt conservatives, he's not at fault. It was that foul, Mexican*, temptress, seducing woman's fault. She led him astray and against the will of god. The common thread I've heard in this situation is to "hate the sin, not the sinner." Basically, that gives anyone license to do anything. *Yes, I know that she's not Mexican. But for these bible-belt morons, if she's brown and speaks Spanish, she must be Mexican. All Spanish speakers come from Mexico, right? *raises hand*
